Is this you?
You're in the right place if…
- You're weeks or months postpartum and you still don't feel like yourself in your own body
- Your core feels disconnected or weak in a way that a regular gym program isn't fixing
- You have leaking, pelvic pressure, or pain — and nobody told you this wasn't just "normal"
- Your back and neck ache constantly from feeding, carrying, and all the bending-over parenting requires
- You want to return to running, lifting, or high-intensity exercise but aren't sure where to start safely
What it is
How we approach Postpartum Recovery
Your body did something extraordinary. And somewhere between diaper changes, night feeds, and everyone asking about the baby — your own recovery quietly moved to the bottom of the list.
Postpartum physical therapy at Arogya Physical Therapy addresses what’s actually happening in your body after delivery: core separation (diastasis recti), pelvic floor dysfunction, postural strain from feeding and carrying a growing baby, and a nervous system that’s been running on fumes for months. This isn’t about “bouncing back.” It’s about building forward with intention, at a pace that makes sense for your life.
Abhisha Patel, PT, DPT, MS, takes a non-prescriptive, non-judgmental approach to postpartum care. She meets you where you are — not where you think you should be — and focuses on the functional goals that matter to you: lifting your baby without back pain, returning to the exercise you love, or simply feeling at home in your own body again.
In-clinic and telehealth appointments are available throughout the North Austin Corridor, with scheduling flexibility built around new-parent reality.

Common questions
FAQ
How soon after delivery can I come in?
We recommend waiting until at least 8 weeks postpartum after a vaginal delivery, or 10 weeks after a C-section, to ensure adequate tissue healing. If you have specific concerns earlier, reach out — we can discuss what's appropriate for your situation.
I've been leaking when I sneeze or jump. Is that just part of being a mom now?
No — and this is one of the most common myths we work to change. Urinary leaking is common postpartum but it is not normal, and it is very treatable. Most patients see significant improvement within a few sessions of targeted pelvic floor work.
Do you offer telehealth for postpartum appointments?
Yes. Telehealth is an option for many postpartum sessions — especially for home program guidance, exercise progressions, and follow-up visits. We understand that getting out of the house with a new baby is a whole project in itself.
I had a C-section. Is postpartum PT still relevant?
Especially so. C-section recovery involves abdominal surgery, and the scar tissue, core reconnection, and functional demands of new parenthood all benefit from targeted rehabilitation.
