FAQ
Common questions, straight answers.
Do I need a referral to see you?
No. Texas is a direct-access state, which means you can see a physical therapist without a physician referral. You can schedule an evaluation with me directly. Some insurance plans still require a referral for reimbursement, but that doesn't affect your ability to book a visit.
Do you accept insurance?
Arogya Physical Therapy is an out-of-network, cash-pay practice. I do not bill insurance directly. However, if you have out-of-network (OON) benefits, I can provide an itemized superbill after each visit that you can submit to your insurance carrier for potential reimbursement. Many PPO plans offer partial OON coverage — it's worth calling your insurer to ask about your specific benefits.
What is a superbill?
A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes the diagnosis codes, procedure codes, and provider information your insurance carrier needs to process an out-of-network claim. I'll provide this after each visit upon request. You submit it directly to your insurer; if approved, they reimburse you according to your plan's out-of-network benefit.
What is a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?
Physical therapy services are typically HSA- and FSA-eligible expenses. You can use your HSA or FSA debit card to pay for sessions directly. Please verify eligibility with your plan administrator if you have questions.
What happens at the first visit?
Your first visit is a comprehensive evaluation. We spend time going over your history, testing your movement, identifying the root cause of your symptoms, and building a plan tailored to your goals. Plan for a full session — we won't rush. You'll leave with a clear understanding of what's happening and what we're going to do about it.
How long is each session?
Sessions are typically 45–60 minutes of one-on-one time with me. Because I don't double-book, your appointment time is reserved entirely for you. The exact length depends on where you are in your plan — some sessions are longer early in recovery, others are more focused as you progress.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, athletic clothing that allows access to the area being treated. For hip or knee issues, shorts or athletic pants work well. For shoulder or neck concerns, a tank top or loose shirt is helpful. If you're coming from work, we have a private changing area at the clinic.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. Telehealth sessions are available for patients across Texas. Telehealth works well for exercise instruction, movement coaching, postural assessment, return-to-sport programming, and follow-up visits. During a discovery call, we can discuss whether telehealth is right for your specific situation.
What conditions do you treat?
I specialize in Sports Rehabilitation, Orthopedic Rehab, Pre-Op Training (Prehab), Post-Op Recovery, Postpartum Recovery, Vestibular Therapy, Myofascial Cupping Therapy, Dry Needling, and General Physical Therapy. If you're not sure whether PT is appropriate for what you're dealing with, a discovery call is a great way to find out.
Where is the clinic? Is there parking?
The clinic is at 135 Mourning Dove Ln, Ste 103, Leander, TX 78641, in the North Austin Corridor. Free parking is available. If you need specific directions or accessibility information, feel free to email us before your visit.
